The FP 71HTA Super Core is the best “Plus One” upgrade for your Evo 8/9 project on a budget. This super core bolts into your original turbine housing so you’re ready to make more power with minimal work.

This is based on an EVO 9 CHRA so if you're putting it in your EVO 8 you will need to purchase THIS INSTALL KIT.

Our FP Evo 9 Oil Filter Housing Line Kit is recommended for this application and will ensure proper oil delivery.

Attention: All Forced Performance turbochargers are built to order to your exact specifications and should not be considered on the shelf ready to ship unless specifically noted on the work order. Build times vary by model of turbo and options of said turbocharger, therefore we cannot guarantee a delivery date or ETA.

i installed this CHRA into a brand new 10.5 hotside and my lord, this thing is awesome. without tuning the car after my old setup, i was hitting 20psi on a stock IX long block, with 264 cams, right around 3500RPM. boost is pretty much instant and it puts me back in my seat right off the line. what an awesome turbo.

Let me start off by saying I love this turbo. Let me say it again, I love ths turbo. The FP 71HTA CHRA is one badass little turbo. Everything about it amazing. It spools just as fast as the stock turbo but holds power so much better than the stock. My Evo IX has bolt-on's, 1120cc injectors, and is in E85. On the stock turbo my car put down 385whp and 400wtq at 29psi in the AZ heat. Boost came on quick but fell to around 24 by redline. After swapping out the stock CHRA for the 71HTA (which was done in less than 3 hours) I threw it on the dyno and was truely amazed. 450whp and 410wtq at 30psi!!! I picked up 65whp for 600 bucks. Find another deal better than that. This turbo came on boost like a raging bull and held 27.5psi by redline. That's not even the best part, when we were tuning the 71HTA we ran out of injector. So we were forced to stop at 450whp, there's still more left on the table, A LOT more. I'm sure with more fuel we'll be nudging 480whp, maybe even knocking on the 500whp door. I can't wait to see what this turbo will do with a set of cams. Thank you FP for making this amazing product. I can't wait to see what it'll do this upcoming NASA season.
