The FP Red is the pinnacle of street and strip turbochargers. It is small enough that it doesnít take forever to build boost but large enough to make more than 525WHP. In addition to the things you know and love about the journal bearing Green, this unit utilizes our Xona Ball Bearing CHRA for increased durability in situations where you might see low oil flow such as road racing or autocross applications.

Info on turbine housing coating.

All EVO turbos now come standard with our new cast stainless turbine housing. This turbine housing has been designed to maximize flow while not sacrificing spool characteristics. It has a 3" V-Band outlet and a TiAL MV-S waste gate flange machined directly onto the housing. Choose the "EVO 9 O2 Housing Cast" from the related items at the bottom of this page for the O2 housing that mates up to this turbine housing. Additionally, this turbine housing was designed for race applications where the turbocharger would be operating above 20psi. Attempting to operate below 20PSI can result in boost creep in some applications.

Attention: All Forced Performance turbochargers are built to order to your exact specifications and should not be considered on the shelf ready to ship unless specifically noted on the work order. Build times vary by model of turbo and options of said turbocharger, therefore we cannot guarantee a delivery date or ETA.

Best Stock frame turbo hands down! still has low end grunt, pulls like a freight train & if you live in CA its nice to maintain the OEM like appearance
5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5  Finally! Reliability in a stock frame turbo. - 4/24/2012

Running this Ball Bearing Red on a 2.3L stroker. Had a camshaft failure while on track at full throttle. The engine shut down instantly, and I could hear the turbo spinning down for several seconds as I crawled to a stop. I started to cry, thinking my brand new turbo was self destructing and there was nothing I could do about it. Tore everything down, sent in the turbo to FP for inspection, fearing the worst. A couple of days later, the phone call came that it was 100% ok. Zero damage! Had this been any one of my previous journal bearing turbo's, I would have been looking at a sizable turbo repair bill. Not any more. Can't thank you enough FP! And yes, it performs pretty well too. Dropped 1.6 seconds off my lap time with just this modification vs. a competitors like sized turbo.

Love my Red turbo, made 475HP and 443TQ with room to spare (was on stock block at time). Ran a 10.89 1/4 mile and 2nd place at DI Palooza. Exedy Twin Disc HD clutch couldn't even hold the power. Going to a Buschur 2.0, Exedy Triple and hopefully an FP Black to shoot for 9's! Built and Tuned by EvoDynamics in Lewisville (KevinD)

Extremely nice turbo, not only does it sound incredible with the new 80mm housing, but the response time is insanely quick with this turbo and when it hits, it hits hard.
