Straight out of Japan from our friends at MHI comes a new factory upgrade for the Mitsubishi Evolution X. Very little is shared with the stock turbo, this is a brand new design specifically for the EVO X.

The turbine wheel is a new TF06-07 mated to an all new billet 18KX3RC compressor wheel co-designed by Forced Performance. The compressor cover has also gotten the redesign treatment and features a 3" inlet and surge ports. The stock wastegate actuator has been ditched in favor of this new MHI high pressure 18PSI actuator. What does this mean for you? A stock frame turbocharger, designed by the best in the business, manufactured by the company that built your car, that's capable of stock like spool, and producing around 54LB a minute.

5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5  Exactly the turbo I was looking for - 9/26/2017
By: Reedith Graham (La Cañada Flintridge, CA)
This is a fantastic Turbo for everyday driving asking around two other Evo 10 owners it was very difficult to find a good turbo because everyone talks about big turbos, big horsepower but that's not exactly what you want if it's your daily driver you're driving to work not the drag strip every day enter mhi 18K stock frame turbo made by Mitsubishi and FP this thing's pulls up just like the stock Turbo so you get plenty of lower end power making it a dream around town and in the canyon while still making decent pulls on the freeway holds 26 PSI no problem all the way through the power band tune with full bolt ons and exhaust this will take you into the over 400 whp range depending on your tune after this install the weakest link will probably be your transmission I'm really glad I went with this turbo and not an FP green or red although great turbos I believe their power band is a little higher than this one and I wanted to go like stink from red light to red light not just be a freeway Queen
5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5  small turbo, big fun! - 6/3/2013
By: toby maples (yuma, AZ)
i went with a small turbo to keep the overall feel of the car the same. i wanted a small, quick spooling and fun to drive car on the curves and corners. on the stock turbo my boost would spike around 23 and quickly drop and hold at about 15psi. with the MHI turbo on the same boost it hits 24 and holds it all the way through the shift. my first feels about the same because of the spool up difference but from second gear up it pulls beautifully. My goal was 400 whp, which i fell short of because of tuning in 110 degree weather and 91 octane so we wanted to keep things safe but i have seen others break the 400 whp mark with this setup. top end is greatly improved and it feels fantastic. in 5th gear i hold 25psi all the way through compared to 15psi before. the difference is night and day. spool up is slowed down by about 400 rpm but that is to be expected when putting a bigger turbo on your car. the only gear i truly notice it in is first, when accelerating from about 15 mph. my mods are bolt on's and turbo support only and are as follows: full turbo back exhaust with wide mouth DP and test pipe ETS intake depo racing 3.5" intercooler and solid upper IC pipe deatchwerks dw65c fuel pump FIC 1100cc injectors MHI TF06-18K turbo tuned @ wingz performance in chandler AZ the bottom line is that if you just want a bit more power and dont want to turn your car into a big turbo drag car this is an excellent choice for the price and the peace of mind knowing its made by mitsubishi and forced performance feels great. i will soon be getting retuned with a port and polished exhaust manifold and E85 and i hope to make it into the 400+ whp
